Israel Adesanya: Nigerian-born UFC star explains why he is single, smoking Marijuana
There is news about New Zealand professional mixed martial artist, kickboxer, and former boxer of Nigerian descent Israel Mobolaji Adesanya.
Adesanya who was the king of the Middleweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship is trending for his activities off the octagon.
Adesanya on why he is single
Adesanya is trending on social media for his interview with Frasergut.
In the interview, Adesanya who has not been in the Octagon since losing the UFC title to Sean Strickland.
Adesanya being out of action chose to explain why he has peace.
Asked about what is your dream, he detailed needing peace, staying single and smoking pot which is usually the term used for Cannabis or Marijuana.
Adesanya said, "My dream. Attain peace, attain peace.
"And that was a great quote by my, my friend Jamie rest in love. His slogan is Attain Peace.
"He's like, I'm gonna dream to attain peace and even me, that's why I'm single now.
"I like peace. I love peace in my life. So I enjoy just Yeah, this watering my plants.
"I enjoy it. And now I got a new vacuum, took golf and that why you master that? I love that sound.
"I just, it's a different pace from my every day in the gym. You know all that my life piece.
"And I'll choose me every time, man. I swear like cause if I can't choose, if I can't look after me, how am I gonna look after people around me?
Adesanya on peace
"So I have to learn how to do that as well. Choosing me every time. You catch me here smoking a joint sometimes and I'm just, I'm at peace.
"It could be a sunset. I just like to be a hermit sometimes. "Even though I can be a social butterfly, I love being a hermit just being in my crowd in my crab show and then got a blanket, relaxing.
"Got my lights going night time, you know, incense burning. Yeah. Peace.
"See, mom and dad happy. I'm at peace. See my brother happy.
"I'm at peace. See my sisters happy. I'm at peace.
"It's such a cliche answer and I know it's been beat to death.
"But I mean, it, I honestly mean it, man, it's like what we need right now.
"It's what we need right now just to attain peace for everyone."
History of Adesanya and ex-girlfriend
The statement by Adesanya comes after Charlotte Powdrell, his former partner, is said to have sued the middleweight champion for half of his earnings from UFC bouts.
Between 2019 and 2020, the real estate agent and former nurse dated the champion.
When they broke up for unclear reasons, she made the decision to sue him.
Adesanya's latest statement comes after he got a mural in New Zealand.
