Adesanya almost got himself involved with music mogul Sean Combs known as P.Diddy.

Adesanya may have avoided a less-than-illustrious list since Combs contacted the former UFC middleweight champion after he knocked out Alex Pereira at UFC 287 in Miami.

However, Adesanya's intentions to work with "P. Diddy" never came to fruition.

Since his arrest, Combs has been accused of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting people to engage in prostitution.

In a conversation with Joe Rogan, Adesanya said, “God protects me, I’m so glad God protects me, because look, if I got invited to the ‘White Party,’ I’d have gone.

“After I knocked out Pereira in Miami, we went to Tootsies the next night, and they were like, ‘Yo. P. Diddy was in here watching your fight last night.’ And I was like, ‘Wait. Word? Crazy.’”

“I went and checked my DMs and I saw, oh, he hit me up.

“And he was talking about two months later I wanna do an interview or whatever. And I said, ‘Here’s my manager’s number.’ Bop, cool.

"Nothing ever came of it. But again, that’s why I say God be protecting me. Because who knows? You never know.”

After losing his middleweight title to Sean Strickland, 35-year-old Adesanya was unable to win it back in his rematch with Dricus Du Plessis.

It's unclear when "The Last Stylebender" will return to the UFC, but it seems like he just wants to fight and forget about the title.
