Israel Adesanya vs Dricus du Plessis: Nigerian MMA star targets head to win UFC 305 main event

The UFC 305 event is scheduled to begin on Sunday, August 18, at Perth, Australia's RAC Arena.

Dricus Du Plessis, the middleweight champion of the UFC from South Africa, will make his title defense debut against Israel Adesanya, the former middleweight champion of Nigeria.

Adesanya is returning to the UFC after Sean Strickland dethroned him as the middleweight champion.

The rivalry between Du Plessis and Adesanya is intense and is reflected in their face off.

During the UFC 305 news conference, Adesanya also cried, sharing about the challenges he faced as a youth and telling Du Plessis that he would make sure DDP had a difficult time in the octagon.

Now at the weigh in Adesanya issued a target warning to du Plessis.

He said, "When I aim between your eyes, I will not fucking miss!."

We haven't seen Adesanya compete in almost a year.

After losing a biased decision to the divisive Sean Strickland at UFC 293 back in April, Adesanya took some time to collect himself and focus.

But after Strickland was defeated by Dricus Du Plessis earlier this year, the "Stylebender" felt rejuvenated and prepared to silence his most recent opponent.

One of the most anticipated fights of 2024 is Du Plessis vs. Adesanya, which takes place on Saturday in Perth. on is due to the intense tension between the two best fighters as well as stylistic considerations.

The middleweight event will be the main event and start at 3.00 Am Nigerian time.
