There is news about New Zealand mixed martial artist of Nigerian descent Israel Adesanya.

Adesanya has arrived Australia the venue for his latest Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event.

In Tuesday's UFC 305 "Welcome to Country" ceremony, Israel Adesanya, the former middleweight champion of the UFC, performed in a manner reminiscent of the Kali statue's dance for Prince Koura in The Golden Voyage of Sinbad.

On August 17, at the UFC 305 pay-per-view, Adesanya will battle Dricus Du Plessis for the 185-pound title from the RAC Center in Perth, Western Australia. Steve Erceg and Tai Tuivasa, two local heroes, participated in today's events as well.

Adesanya before arrival stated he intends to knock out Du Plessis when they match up.
