Kamaru Usman sends final message to Leon Edwards
Nigerian professional mixed martial artist Kamarudeen Usman has issued his final statement ahead of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 286 card.
Usman is set to face off against English professional mixed martial artist Leon Edwards in a trilogy fight.
The Nigerian Nightmare and Rocky have built up the fight through press conferences throughout the week.
At the ceremonial weigh-in event, they came face to face for the last time before the fight.
Usmand and Edwards would exchange words setting up anticipation for a violent main event at UFC 286.
Edwards at the face off said, "Let's go, you're getting fucked tomorrow."
Usman being held back responded, "You talk now, you talk now huh, you're gonna do something. We gonna see what you're gonna do tomorrow."
Usman sends final message to Edwards
On the day of the fight, Usman has taken to social media to express his thoughts on how the fight against Edwards will turn out.
He started off by posting a video of African children dancing to a celebration on his official Instagram handle.
Usman captioned the video, "FIGHT DAY SHMOOOD" and the song Waah from Diamond Platnumz featuring Koffi Olomide.
Usman then posted photos from the face-off and reiterated his commitment to dialogue with Edwards in the Octagon.
Along with the photos from the face-off was a message that said, "We bout to talk."
Edwards also took to his official Instagram account to share his thoughts ahead of the fight.

Along with a photo was a message that said, "UK thank you for showing out at the press conference, see you guys at the weigh-ins."
Usman takes to the Octagon at the O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom in a bid to regain the UFC Welterweight title from Edwards on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
