The build-up to the fight

The two fighters had a tense build-up to the fight with both camps, Copab Boxing Club (Kimbugwe) and Lukanga Boxing Club (Kasujja), promising victory.

Kimbugwe accused Kasujja of emulating his fighting styles but warned that he is unpredictable.

Kasujja, on the other hand, promised to send the self-proclaimed 'stylist' out of the boxing ring to concentrate on fashion and design.

At the arena, the atmosphere was evident that the best was saved for the last as fans from both sides were up to the task.

The bout

Kimbugwe was relatively cool-headed in the ring, while Kasujja seemingly lost himself to the mind games.

No sooner had the alarm sounded than he attacked aggressively as Kimbugwe technically played the cool one.

Determined to finish off his opponent, Kasujja was overexposed as Kimbugwe scored vital points.

As a result, Kasujja's aggressiveness gradually morphed into weakness on his side.

The Lukanga boxer lost the primary fight 5-0 by unanimous decision, with a stark difference between the two fighters on display.

The league resumes in two weeks.
