Going into this game, Liverpool find themselves 10 points behind their arch-rivals who continued their fantastic season by lifting the Carabao Cup on Sunday.
United lost 5-0 and 4-0 to Liverpool last season but there has been a power shift since then and the Red Devils do not go to Anfield as underdogs any longer.
Klopp praises Rashford
A key reason why United supporters are so confident, is the form of Marcus Rashford. The England international is in the form of his life and he has the numbers to show with 25 goals in all competitions.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp spoke glowingly about Rashford and how Liverpool plan to stop him.
“It’s pretty much impossible to be happy about something positive at Man United where you are the Liverpool manager,” he said.
“It’s not that I watch them and hope they win, but I am really happy for Rashford. He had a really difficult year, not performing at the level he is able to perform. I knew this would change again.
"Now he is playing incredible, his speed, technique, how calm he is in front of goal, he scores worldies, he scores the simple ones. He’s in the form of his life."
Liverpool are coming into this game on the back of a well-deserved 2-0 victory over Wolves in midweek.
