Lionel Messi: Beautiful Tennis star joins Inter Miami because of ex-Barcelona star

Lionel Messi's exploits in Major League Soccer with Inter Miami continue to marvel fans and casuals alike as he scores a brilliant goal on his MLS debut. 

Young Tennis star Coco Gauff is the latest to be struck by the Messi magic, as she reacted in awe to the goal.

As Pulse Sports reported, on Sunday, August 27, 2023, against the New York Red Bulls, Lionel Messi completed an incredible passing sequence to cap off his Inter Miami MLS regular-season debut with a win

Messi was again the hero as Inter Miami recorded a comfortable 2-0 victory away against the New York Red Bulls.

Sergio Busquets' cross-field pass to Jordi Alba, one of Miami's notable summer additions, was the catalyst for Messi's goal.

Messi received the ball in the penalty area after Alba's scissor kick and found Benjamin Cremaschi with an X-ray vision-style pass.

The young star re-centred the ball for Messi, who calmly passed it into the goal for his first MLS strike.

Messi now has 11 goals and six assists in nine outings since his mid-July debut, helping Miami go nine games without a loss in all competitions.

Cori Dionne 'Coco' Gauff is one of the brightest Tennis prospects in the world, and at only 19, she has been ranked as highly as No. 4 in singles and No. 1 in doubles.  

Gauff is currently preparing for her first Grand Slam glory at the US Open. She will be hoping to better her last year's quarter-final finish in the same competition and her best-ever Grand Slam finish in 2022 at Roland Garros, where she lost in the final to Iga Swiatek. 

The American still had time to gush over Messi's goal against New York, confessing that she had gotten on the Inter Miami train.
