Lionel Messi’s alleged affair with Argentine journalist: Cesc Fabregas' wife Daniella Semaan debunks story

Argentine captain and Inter Miami star Lionel Messi is reportedly having an affair with Argentine journalist Sofia Martinez, which has put him in the middle of a marital problem and on the verge of divorcing his wife Antonella Roccuzzo, according to the Brazilian media outlet Direto Do Miolo.

However, Cesc Fabregas' wife, Daniella Semaan, a close friend of the Messi family, has refuted the rumours and attacked the media story.

While the Messi family has decided to ignore the story, Semaan took to Instagram to debunk the story, calling out the Brazilian outlet.

In response to the post on Instagram about the alleged affair, she wrote, "What publication is this that has nothing right and no meaning?"

Messi and his wife, Roccuzzo, have been together for 15 years and got married in 2017. The couple, who have known each other since they were kids, are blessed with three sons, Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro.

Sofia Martinez is an Argentine journalist who gained recognition at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar for her notable and impassioned speech to the Argentina captain following his team's semifinal victory over Croatia. She expressed gratitude to the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner on behalf of all Argentines for the joy he brings to them.

Neither Messi nor any member of his camp have said anything about this allegation. The Inter Miami star is currently enjoying his break after the MLS season ended in October.
