Tragically, they never reached their destination. Around 12:35 a.m. local time, a blown tire caused their car to crash and burst into flames. Both Diogo and Andre, a player in the Portuguese second division, lost their lives.

Liverpool to continue Jota's salary

Liverpool announced their intention to commemorate Jota, likely with a mural at Anfield depicting his final goal for the club, as reported by Sportal.

According to reports, the English club will continue paying Jota's salary to support his family: his wife, Rute, whom he recently married, and their three children.
