Luka Doncic scored 14 points in Monday's 132-113 thumping of the Utah Jazz, marking the beginning of a successful career for the Los Angeles Lakers after his injury.
In one of the most shocking trades in NBA history, Slovenian sensation Doncic was playing his first game since sustaining a calf injury in December.
Luka makes Laker debut
Lakers head coach J.J. Redick monitored Doncic's fitness, which resulted in the 25-year-old's playing time being restricted to just 24 minutes.
However, with the Lakers in charge and leading 93-69 late in the third quarter, the five-time All-Star was no longer needed in the game.
He made a spectacular 26-foot three-pointer in the first quarter to get his first points as a Laker, and he played nicely with LeBron James, who finished with 24 points.
