'Make sure they keep laughing together' - Bayer Leverkusen tell Liverpool after selling two key players
Jeremie Frimpong was Liverpool's first signing for the new season, announced on May 30th.
The full-back arrived to fill the void left by Trent Alexander-Arnold's departure to Real Madrid.
This Friday, the club confirmed the arrival of forward Florian Wirtz for a record fee of £116m and a five-year deal.
Leverkusen message to Liverpool
Both players arrive from Bayer Leverkusen, who yesterday posted several farewell messages for the forward on social media.
The German side sent a direct message telling the Reds that the pair will remain together, now wearing a new jersey.
"Inseparable. Make sure they keep laughing together, Liverpool," was the message, as reported by Abola.
Both players will play an important role in Liverpool's next season campaign as they look to defend their Premier League title.
