Man City steal win at Goodison Park as fight for UCL qualification continues

The Citizens have built their confidence in recent weeks, having been unbeaten in their last five Premier League games.

They extended their streak with a 2-0 victory over the Toffees on Saturday afternoon and go into fourth position on the league table 

Everton boss David Moyes named the same starting XI that picked up an impressive victory at Nottingham Forest last weekend.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola made four changes to the side that beat Crystal Palace last Saturday.

Neither team were able to score in the first half, as both struggled to create scoring opportunities to open up the game.

However, in the second half, Man City got better and created chances, but it was not until the 83rd minute that Nico O'Reilly gave the visitors the lead.

City then got another goal to wrap up the game in injury time courtesy of Mateo Kovacic from a brilliant move.

Everton stormed out after conceding, but their hunger was not fuelled enough to get an equaliser, ending the game 2-0 in favour of Guardiola’s side.
