Man City's De Bruyne calls for consistency ahead of showdown with Arsenal

Manchester City are chasing a historic treble and Arsenal are chasing a first Premier League title since 2004, both narratives make for an exciting clash when the two teams meet at the Etihad on Wednesday night. 

City are coming off an FA Cup semi-final triumph against Sheffield United, winning 3-0 courtesy of a Riyad Mahrez hat-trick. 

The confidence is certainly high in the Manchester City camp, while league leaders Arsenal have started to look a bit jaded, as was evident in their 3-3 draw at home to Southampton last weekend.

City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne shared his thoughts ahead of the crunch tie.

“It makes no sense to get more hyped for one game and not another, it's too up and down," he said.

"You have to try and stay consistent on the same level. We know the importance for some games obviously is bigger. But preparations remain the same."

Manchester City are currently 5 points off Arsenal but Pep Guardiola's men have the luxury of two games in hand on the leaders. A win over the Gunners on Wednesday could all but end Arsenal's title hopes.
