Thousands of supporters had gathered in the city streets to celebrate the Reds' 20th English top-flight title when a vehicle drove into the crowd.

The 53-year-old British national injured nearly 80 people, seven of whom remain hospitalised. Police report 79 people were injured in the incident, with at least 50 requiring hospital treatment.

Doyle pleads not guilty

Paul Doyle, a former British serviceman accused of driving into hundreds of Liverpool fans during their Premier League title celebrations in May, pleaded not guilty on Thursday.

Speaking via video conference from his prison cell, as reported by Abola, the man appeared before a Liverpool court to deny culpability for the incident on May 26th, which left 134 people injured.

Paula Doyle faces seven charges, including dangerous driving and various counts of causing grievous bodily harm, according to prosecutor Sarah Hammond.

The trial is scheduled to begin on November 24th and is expected to last between three and four weeks.
