Manchester City deny Khusanov's loan move to Lyon after agreeing Cherki deal

Cherki recently completed his transfer to Manchester City from Lyon for a fee worth £34 million.

However, according to reports, one of City's players was supposed to play for the French side on loan during the 2025/26 season.

According to Sportal, Lyon showed interest in the 21-year-old Uzbek player, but Man City have declined a loan move for the defender.

The defender was signed for a fee worth €40 million (£33.7m) plus bonuses and signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2029.

During the 2024/25 season, Khusanov scored 1 goal and provided 1 assist in 25 appearances for Manchester City across all competitions.
