"From his first day at Carrington in 2017 to his final match at Old Trafford in 2023, we thank him for everything," the Red Devils posted, via Sportal.
The Swedish international made 233 appearances for the club, scoring four goals during his tenure.

He was a key member of the team, winning the EFL Cup in 2023 and also the FA Cup in 2024.
He departs alongside Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe, who are also leaving as free agents.
