The Red Devils came into the game on the back of their impressive performance against Athletic Bilbao that saw them qualify for the Europa League final.

However, heading back to the Premier League, they lost 2-0 to West Ham, making it their 17th loss of the season.

Ruben Amorim made six changes to his starting line-up from the midweek win over Athletic Bilbao, with two-goal Mason Mount amongst those to start.

West Ham made three changes to the side that drew with Tottenham last week, with Lucas Paquetá missing out in Graham Potter’s side.

Manchester United were hit with the first goal in the 26th minute courtesy of Tomas Soucek's tap-in from inside the box.

West Ham mounted more pressure on United in the second half, leading to Jarrod Bowen scoring the second goal for the visitors.

The visitors held their ground until the final whistle and claimed a comfortable 2-0 victory over Ruben Amorim's side.
