Mikel Arteta finally reveals why Folarin Balogun left Arsenal

USMNT striker Folarin Balogun completed a switch from Arsenal to Ligue 1 side Monaco this week and the move left fans questioning Arteta's decision to sell the talented forward.

When asked about Balogun's exit in his press conference, the Gunners boss gave an honest reply.

“We did not have space for him in the squad to give him the minutes that he needed. 

“He wanted the chance to continue developing his career. Really happy for him.”

Balogun returns to Ligue 1 where he spent the entirety of last season, scoring 22 goals for Reims in 39 appearances.
