His foray into music has produced singles like “Don’t Shoot” and “What’s Luv?”, and he’s even teased an upcoming EP, working alongside notable names such as Odumodublvck and his Fulham teammate Calvin Bassey.

Speaking as a guest on Capital Xtra, Iwobi was unequivocal about his number one passion.

“It’s gonna be football,” he stated emphatically. “Football’s got me to where I am,” he added, putting to rest any speculation that his burgeoning music career might rival his commitment to the beautiful game.

Music, for Iwobi, serves as a creative outlet and a way to express himself beyond the pressures of professional football.

Despite his musical achievements, including being the first Premier League player to release his own single, the 28-year-old has always maintained that football is his main focus.

He views music as a hobby and a form of self-expression, but insists it doesn’t interfere with his football career.

“The main focus will always be football,” Iwobi told Standard Sport, emphasising that while he enjoys music, it is football that has shaped his life and career.

Iwobi’s openness about his dual passions has inspired other athletes to embrace interests outside their primary profession.

Yet, as he continues to shine for both club and country, there is no doubt that, for Alex Iwobi, football remains his true calling.
