NBBF vows to revive women's league
The Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF has vowed to restore the lost glory of the Women's League in the country.
Nigeria's women's basketball league has been suspended for the last four years.

NBBF Vice President, Babatunde Ogunade said the federation has taken all necessary steps to secure the female league's resurgence.
He added that the suspension had left the players uncertain about the future of the league.
“The female league is going to come up very soon, we are worried about the timing because of the election since there are home and away games and they are playing the games in different centres all over Nigeria.
“We are mindful of putting the girls in harm’s way because of elections, we have to be very careful also. Yes, they have to play the league but we are worried about security. We have a sponsor anyway,” he told daily trust

MFM Queens Coach, Mrs. Ochuko Owolabi, expressed excitement for the female league's return and claimed that the girls have been starving for years.
“What everybody wants is a league for the girls to play, not just a 3-days tournament like what individuals are doing. Now, it is not necessarily about the money, the players are eager, they want to play, so that is just what we are saying,” she said.
Following the NBBF crises, the league was put on hold.
