The England international, who was pivotal as Chelsea battled to Champions League glory under former boss Thomas Tuchel is guaranteed to become one of the hottest properties on the transfer market this summer.
Mount is currently in a contract stand-off with Chelsea and as per the latest reports, it is nowhere close to being resolved.
Newcastle join chase for Chelsea's Mount
According to Football Insider, Newcastle have now entered the running to sign the talented attacking midfielder.
The magpies are monitoring his situation but are also keenly aware that they would be competing with both Liverpool and Manchester United, who both have a strong interest in Mount.
It is also being reported that Chelsea could be tempted to sell for a figure around £60-70million.
Mount's contract at Chelsea expires in the summer of 2024 and there have been reports that the Blues will look to cash in to avoid a scenario where he walks away for nothing.
