Nigeria's under 20 national team known as the Flying Eagles recorded a 2-2 draw against the Junior Harambee Stars of Kenya on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
The game between Nigeria and Kenya was their final group fixture at the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Flying Eagles defeated Tunisia 1-0 to start their campaign and played out a 0-0 draw against Morocco in their second group encounter.
Kenya on the other hand lost 3-2 to Morocco and lost 3-1 to Tunisia in their group fixtures.

It was Kenya that had a first start in this clash and awarded an early penalty.
Kevin Wangaya Injehu converted from the spot in the sixth minute to give Kenya the lead.
Kenya were not ahead for long as Kparoba Nathaniel Arierhi got the equalizer in the 13th minute.
The Flying Eagles were on top as both teams went to the halftime break level.
The second half had the same the start for Kenya despite changes by Nigerian head coach Aliyu Zubairu.
Kenya went ahead once again through William Gitamu in the 68th minute.
The Flying Eagles were awarded a penalty in the 73rd minute and Daniel Bameyi stepped up to convert an equalizer.
There were no more goals scored as both teams settled for a draw to close the group stage.
The result means the Flying Eagles advance as group runners-up while Kenya are knocked out.
