In their opening match of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) held in Morocco,the Super Falcons recorded a commanding 3-0 victory over the Les Aigles of Tunisia.
The win was achieved via goals from Asisat Oshoala, Rinsola Babajide, and substitute Chiwendu Ihezuo.
Following the game, CAF awarded Esther Okoronkwo the Woman of the Match award.

Super Falcons head coach, Justin Madugu, has called for continuous improvement within his squad.
The Super Falocns have a massive quest for a record-extending 10th WAFCON title and Madugu remains cautious.

During the post-match press conference, he emphasized that the scoreline should not mask the areas where the team needs to enhance their performance.
He said, "We are not flattered by the scoreline. We know what we set out to do, and it's still a work in progress.

"Every player that is here representing the country is of great importance to us.
"We try as much as possible to promote team harmony and make everybody feel relevant."
"It always feels good each time you set out to go out for a game.
"The ultimate goal for you is to win, and the fact that the team won, obviously it is only natural that we are happy that the team won.
"Obviously because we want to do better, we have the privilege of making those changes so that we get the team going."
