Nigeria, Egypt and 13 nations that have qualified for AFCON 2025

With just one round of qualifying matches left to play, over 50 percent of the spots at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations have been filled. Here are all the teams that have qualified so far.

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, set to be hosted by Morocco from December 2025 to January 2026, is shaping up to be a thrilling competition. As the qualifying rounds progress, the race for a spot in the final tournament intensifies.

Morocco already sealed a spot as hosts, leaving 23 spots left open at the start of the qualification games.

By match day four, seven teams had already confirmed their spots, and it increased to 15 by match day five. 

Several African nations secured their spots on Thursday.

Tunisia clinched their 18th consecutive AFCON appearance with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Madagascar.

Gabon qualified without kicking a ball after Central African Republic's loss to Lesotho.

South Africa and Uganda also advanced from Group K, benefiting from Congo's defeat to South Sudan.
