Nigeria are top of Group D with four points from their opening two matches, picking up a 3-0 win against Benin Republic before settling for a goalless draw with Rwanda a couple of days later. 

Augustine Eguavoen, who was appointed on an interim basis in what is his third stint with the Super Eagles, will be hoping to lead the team to maintain his unbeaten start to the qualifiers.

Nigeria and Libya have met four times in the past, with the Super Eagles winning all four games.

Two of those games were AFCON qialifyng games in 2018, with Nigeria picking up a 4-0 victory at home before winning 3-2 in the return leg a couple of days later.

As for the Mediterranean Knights, they will be without Ahli Tripoli club defender Ahmed Al-Tarbi, Al-Nasr club’s Mohammed Al-Tabbal, and Ali Yousse of African Club of Tunisia, due to injuries.
