Lyles Reveals How He Planned Bromfield Engagement
Fast forward to October 2024 and the couple got engagede post the Paris Olympics where Lyles won the 100m gold and Bromfield represented Jamaica.
“I knew we were going to get married in our first year of dating,” he revealed, “but I thought it would be too crazy to propose then, so I waited.”
Lyles began seriously searching for the perfect ring in June 2024, and spent four months orchestrating a proposal that was both romantic and unforgettable.
Despite being tempted to propose spontaneously, Lyles remembered Bromfield’s one request, no surprises. “She told me I couldn’t surprise her on the day, so I took it as a challenge,” he said.
On October 12, 2024, surrounded by their closest friends and a breathtaking setup, Lyles got down on one knee and popped the question. It was a moment carefully planned and perfectly executed.
Lyles And Bromfield Share Plans For Dream Wedding
Now engaged and preparing for a spring 2026 wedding, Lyles and Bromfield are checking off milestones as a couple.
They’ve chosen their wedding venue, Bromfield has picked one of her two dresses, and they’ve even purchased a home together.
Beyond planning their wedding, they’re laying the groundwork for a life beyond the track, one filled with family, and new adventures.
“I’m looking forward and planning for the changes that life will bring. Whether it’s having children of our own or transitioning from being an athlete. Whether it’s having children of our own or transitioning from being an athlete," said Bromfield.
As they continue to break barriers on the track, Lyles and Bromfield are just as committed to building a lifetime side by side.
