Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe has opened up on the decision regarding his move to Spain, insisting he had to pick between money and Carlo Ancelotti's team.

The French international made a free transfer to Real Madrid during the summer transfer window after winding down his contract at PSG.

Since his arrival, he has been one of the top players on the team and is currently Madrid's leading goal scorer this season.

The former PSG star has scored 30 goals and provided four assists in 42 games in all competitions this season for Real Madrid.

Mbappe speaks on decision 

The 26-year-old World Cup winner decided to move to Real Madrid instead of receiving more money at PSG.

According to Fabrizio on X, Mbappe said, “Choosing between Real Madrid or money was not a difficult decision.

“I only wanted to play at the Santiago Bernabéu in a Real Madrid shirt, I wanted to be happy and here at Real Madrid I am happy.”

Mbappé will be in action for Ancelotti's side on Tuesday when they face London club Arsenal in the semifinal of the UEFA Champions League.

The forward will be looking to increase his goal tally and continue his form for the Spanish side as they aim to win another UCL title.
