NPFL Super 6: Lobi's blunt attack to test Remo's leaky defense in battle of the stars — Preview

It is a busy and decisive day for these teams on matchday four of the NPFL Super 6 Playoffs.

Three matches will be played as usual, but this piece focuses on the second game of the day featuring Remo Stars and Lobi Stars.

It’s a crucial day for Lobi Stars and Remo Stars as they go head-to-head in the battle of the stars. 

Bottom-of-the-table side Lobi take on Remo in the second match of the day as both teams search for their first win in the NPFL Playoffs. 

The Pride of Benue have lost one and drawn two of their three games so far without scoring a single goal. 

Meanwhile, Remo are the top scorers in the Playoffs with five goals but have drawn all three matches.

This should be an interesting encounter between two teams, one who cannot score and the other who has conceded in every game so far. 

Lobi have the edge here with three wins to two, for Remo, in the previous six matches. 

But the last time both sides met, it was a comprehensive win for the Sky Blues, who thrashed Lobi 3-1. 

Samuel Anakwe, Remo Stars: When these two met, Anakwe netted the third goal of the match. He has also scored in the Playoffs and could prove to be a difference-maker against the same team. 

Joseph Atule, Lobi Stars: The talented and sweet-footed left winger remains the only real spark in Lobi Stars’ attack so far.
