Bayelsa United vs Enyimba

Enyimba, the People’s Elephant, are used to grinding out results in difficult places, but Bayelsa United are no pushovers at home.

The game should be tight, with Bayelsa’s energy unsettling Enyimba early on. But, Enyimba’s experience and quality in attack could see them prove a difficult away team.

But United are a tough nut to crack at home and with Super Eagles prospect Clinton Andy in goal and coach Monday Odigie, they should nick this.

Kano Pillars vs Enugu Rangers

This is one of the standout fixtures of the weekend — two giants with proud histories, with some big names expected to feature led by Super Eagles icon Ahmed Musa.

Pillars are always tough to beat at the Sani Abacha Stadium, but Rangers have started brightly with four points in six and won’t sit back.

Expect an intense midfield battle, with both sides likely sharing the spoils in a high-tempo contest.

  • Prediction: 1-1 Draw

Plateau United vs Remo Stars

Remo Stars have shown they can compete with the best, and currently sit at the top of the table against bottom place Plateau United. But a trip to Jos is never easy.

Plateau United thrive in front of their home fans and their direct, aggressive football could unsettle Remo despite three consecutive defeats.

It should be a thrilling, open game, but Plateau’s home advantage might prove decisive.

Rivers United vs Shooting Stars

Rivers United are building momentum and rarely lose in Port Harcourt. Shooting Stars, however, are known for frustrating big sides with their defensive discipline.

Expect Rivers to dominate possession and eventually break through, but by a very narrow margin against the Oluyole Warriors chasing their first win.

Ikorodu City vs Barau

All eyes will be on Ikorodu City as they host their second big evening home game of the season after the game against El-Kanemi Warrriors.

The energy from their fans should lift them, especially after dropping two points the last time, and against newly promoted Barau, they have the perfect chance to make a statement.

If the Oga Boys start fast and maintain intensity, and can take the chances that will come their way, a comfortable win looks likely.
