Philadelphia 76ers' All-Star dominant center, Joel Embiid is baffled by his reputation as one of the NBA's most disliked players.
Despite being a top-five player in the league for three years running, he just can't seem to win over the fans.
Embiid wants more love from fans
In a refreshingly honest chat on The Check Ball Show, Embiid confessed:
"I'm probably the most hated guy in the league... and I have no idea why"

"I'm probably the most hated guy in the league. I don't know why cuz, I'm just cool. I don't know what's there to hate about me.”

He genuinely seems perplexed, asking, "What's there to hate about me? I'm just a cool dude!"
Embiid's inspiring story – overcoming devastating injuries and leading the 76ers to consistent playoff appearances – should make him a fan favorite. But somehow, he still feels misunderstood.

As he gears up to represent Team USA at the Paris Olympics, Embiid hopes to find a more supportive crowd.
Maybe, just maybe, the fans will finally see him in a different light and create a more positive vibe for him to thrive in.
