Peace talks scheduled between Howard Webb and Nottingham Forest's owners following furious release statement

Nottingham Forest recently claimed that VAR Stuart Atwell was a Luton fan after they were denied three penalty calls.

The club then went on to release a statement claiming they would consider their options and demanded the VAR audio.

Forest had requested access to referee Anthony Taylor’s conversations with VAR Stuart Atwell earlier this week, criticizing Atwell's appointment due to his allegiance to Luton.

PGMOL, the refereeing body, has agreed to their request, adhering to their protocol of making VAR audio available upon club request.

Webb, orchestrating the peace talks, intends to play the recordings to Forest in an online session before their upcoming clash against Manchester City, as reported by Daily Mail.

Depending on the team’s schedule, manager Nuno Espirito Santo may also be present during the discussion. The meeting will include the playback of VAR audio capturing three penalty appeals made by Forest during Sunday’s contentious match.

Furthermore, Forest, Santo, Neco Williams, and the club’s refereeing consultant Mark Clattenburg have been approached by the FA for their observations. 

There is potential for misconduct charges to be levied against them for questioning Atwell’s integrity.
