Unlike Kobs, Rams and Walukuba, who had indicated that they wouldn't honour their games even though the impasse was resolved with a club chairmen's meeting on Thursday, The Stanbic Black Pirates are ready to get going again.

"We were going to play our game either way; the midseason break helped us reorganize but also helped our injured players to recover from a few knocks, so we're good to go," Pirates’ head coach Marvin Odongo told Pulse Sports.

"We have worked on our set pieces and also improved on the aspect of losing a lot of balls in the breakdown," Odongo added.

Rhinos sit ninth on the log with 13 points, having managed two wins in the season so far, while Pirates lie third on 56 points.

Pirates' Steven Alur is unavailable due to injury; however, captain Ivan Magomu will be expected to lead the sea robbers on Saturday.

On Thursday, a hastily arranged club chairmen's meeting convened by the Uganda Rugby Union agreed to have all sponsorship final disbursement monies sent to the respective ten clubs by the closure of business on Friday, which has been done.
