Report: Liverpool submit ₦17-19b offer for Barcelona's Franck Kessie

Liverpool have reportedly sent an offer of around €35-40 million for Barcelona's Franck Kessie for a move this summer. 

The 25-year-old Ivory Coast international only recently joined Barcelona last summer on a free transfer from AC Milan.

However, given the Blaugrana's financial situation, they are expected to make sales in the coming transfer window, and Kessie, who did not manage to break into the first 11, is said to be one of those on the market. 

According to an Anfield Watch report today, the Merseyside giants have made an offer to the Catalans for their Ivorian midfielder. 

Jurgen Klopp's side are expected to make a number of midfield additions this summer with the departures of James Milner, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

They have been linked with a number of names in the position, and since backing out of the race for Dortmund's Jude Bellingham, they have since turned their attention to other options. 

Brighton's Alexis MacAllister is one of such names, and the six-time Champions League winners are said to be in pole position to land him.

They are now said to have made an offer for Kessie; however, they are expected to face competition from Inter, who are also keen on landing the former AC Milan man. 

Meanwhile, Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone this summer with Jurgen Klopp a huge admirer.
