Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly received encouragement in their pursuit of Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo.
The Cameroonian international is now said to be more "intrigued" by the prospect of a move to North London, particularly after Thomas Frank's appointment as Tottenham's new head coach.
Could Spurs hijack Man Utd’s Mbeumo deal?
According to Sky Sports News, the London club have received a significant boost in the race for the 25-year-old, who is reportedly increasingly fascinated by the idea of joining Spurs.
United had previously made an offer of £45 million plus £10 million in add-ons for Mbeumo, which Brentford rejected, as the West Londoners reportedly value the winger in excess of £60 million.
The Red Devils are still expected to submit another bid for the player, having reportedly received positive indications from him prior to Frank's move to Tottenham.
However, it is suggested that the Cameroon international’s mind could be swayed by his old manager’s switch to the Europa League winners and the lure of Champions League football in the 2025-26 season.
Have Man Utd made any signings?
The Red Devils have already confirmed the arrival of Cunha, and the Manchester giants are still expected to be busy during the summer window, as sales and arrivals are anticipated at Old Trafford.
