Coming into the return leg with a comfortable advantage from the first leg, Posta Rangers looked poised to cruise through.
However, Naivas came out fighting, showing the urgency of a side desperate to make history with promotion to the top tier for the first time.
Despite sustained pressure, the retailers could only breach Posta's defence once, and Markvivan Kesa’s strike proved to be just a consoation goal.
Kesa was the difference maker, capitalizing on a rare defensive lapse by Posta to slot home the decisive goal.
Topflight Football Secured Once Again
With this result, Posta Rangers officially retain their status in Kenya's top flight.
They now look ahead to the new season, where they will compete against top sides including newly crowned champions Kenya Police and record title holders Gor Mahia.
For Naivas United, it is back to the drawing board as they miss out on a historic promotion.
However, their performance across the two legs was commendable and showcased the club’s growing potential as they eye another go at promotion next season.
