Samuel Eto'o calls Ademola Lookman younger brother: Super Eagles star gets support for Atalanta penalty miss
Despite finishing ninth in the first league phase, Atalanta barely missed out on automatic progression to the Round of 16 in this season's UEFA Champions League.
The Bergamo team lost to Club Brugge 5-2 on aggregate in the elimination playoff which sparked a massive reaction.
Atalanta were losing 3-0 in front of their home supporters with a 2-1 disadvantage from the first leg before Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Ademola Lookman entered at halftime.
Lookman scored but his penalty was also saved stifling hopes of a comeback.
The second-leg defeat to Club Brugge caused Lookman and head coach Gian Piero Gasperini into a heated altercation over a missed penalty.
Gasperini most targeted Lookman since the seasoned tacticians had previously determined penalty duties.

Lookman has since put out a statement to clarify his position and has received support from the football community worldwide.
Cameroon football legend Samuel Eto'o has come out to back Lookman showing support in a difficult time.

Last season's UEFA Europa League final saw Atalanta defeat the all-conquering Bayer Leverkusen.
Lookman was the game's star with a magnificent hat-trick to give La Dea a 3-0 victory and earned him a ballon d'Or nomination.
