Hamilton's debut season at Ferrari in 2025 has proven challenging. After qualifying in Budapest, he told the media he was "useless" and suggested the team replace him. This sparked speculation, but Ralf doesn't anticipate changes at Ferrari.

"No, I can't imagine Lewis returning to Mercedes," Ralf explained. "He's 40 years old and has certain requirements, particularly high financial ones. And how much longer will Lewis continue racing? In my opinion, he's still performing at a high level, but whether he's as good as he once was, nobody knows."

Schumacher explained that teams should focus on developing younger drivers, even highlighting several promising talents currently in Formula 1.

"Bearman is doing great," Schumacher pointed out. "Hadjar is performing well, and Kimi is also very good when the conditions suit him. Bortoleto too; these are four drivers that teams could utilize.

"Also, Alex Dunne and Arvid Lindblad in Formula 2 are showing strong potential. I would bet on the future. If I were a team principal, I'd take a young driver with potential, someone I could mold, who definitely hasn't reached their peak yet."

Hamilton won six of his seven titles with Mercedes, where he stayed from for 11 years from 2013-2024, before joining Ferrari this year.
