Shabana bank record gate collections in addition to three points after raiding KCB coffers
Shabana reaped big after beating KCB FC on Sunday afternoon with the club announcing a massive collection from ticket sales following their 2-0 victory.
The clash held at Gusii Stadium attracted over 5,000 fans, underlining the intimidating atmosphere created by a jam-packed stadium and the large following of the club that continues to draw significant attention each season.
According to the figures released by the club, Shabana generated a gross revenue of Ksh 1,015,000 from the match.
The financial boost comes when the club has been trying to recover from the challenges they witnessed last season.
Ticket prices for the clash were set at Ksh 500 for VIP seats and Ksh 200 for the stands, a pricing strategy that appears to have paid off well in terms of revenue.

On the pitch, Shabana’s performance was equally impressive as they dominated the game from the start, with striker Michira opening the scoring in the 29th minute.
His goal came after a powerful shot from Matthew Tegisi was saved by KCB goalkeeper Farouk Shikhalo, but Michira was quick to react, slotting the rebound into the empty net.
Shabana’s attacking players remained relentless, with Michira and his teammates creating several more chances.
The first half saw KCB goalkeeper Shikhalo make a number of key saves, but Shabana's persistence finally paid off when Odongo, who came on as a substitute in the second half, capitalized on poor defending by KCB to score a second goal.

His effort, finished at the near post, sent the crowd into a frenzy, as fans celebrated the team's commanding position in the match.
The goal came at a perfect moment for Shabana, putting them two goals ahead and effectively sealing the game.
KCB had few opportunities to get back into the contest, with Shabana’s defense standing strong and limiting the visitors’ chances.
The best opportunity for KCB came early in the second half when Patrick Otieno found himself one-on-one with Shabana goalkeeper Stephen Ochieng but fired his shot way over the bar, much to the frustration of the KCB faithful.
Despite Shabana failing to capitalize on several other opportunities, including chances for Darius Msagha and Odongo, the team’s strong defensive performance ensured they maintained their lead.
The final whistle brought an end to a historic day for Shabana, as they secured a crucial win that moved them up into the Premier League’s top five, keeping their unbeaten streak alive at four games.
The win also provided a much-needed boost for the club, not just in terms of points but also financially.
Shabana’s performance both on and off the pitch demonstrated the positive momentum the club is experiencing under their current management.
