Sha'Carri Richardson heralds the Olympic year with a beautiful photo as she warns rivals in advance
World's fastest woman Sha'Carri Richardson is getting set for the Olympic year, sharing her first photo of 2024 to warn her rivals in advance.
The American speedster posted on her Instagram story her natural face wearing braids for the first time in months.
Richardson captioned it "2024. THANKFUL IN ADVANCE," which signifies her intentions of having a successful 2024 season in advance.
This year, she will hope to replicate her memorable 2023 season in which she became the world's fastest woman by winning the 100m world title in Budapest and adding the 200m bronze and 4x100m gold medal, as well as claiming the US 10om title and running the most sub-11s times by a female sprinter.
Off-track, the 23-year-old stamped her name as the most influential female track and field athlete, setting blueprints never before achieved by a female athletics star.
With the Paris 2024 Olympics less than six months away, Richardson will be gunning to prove her 2023 season was no fluke and target winning the sprints gold in the French city.
