Rey Mysterio finally gives in, agrees to fight Domink Mysterio at WrestleMania as full results from SmackDown revealed

WrestleMania 39 continues to build up with this week’s blue brand of the WWE.

Rey Mysterio finally accepted his son’s challenge to go one on one at WrestleMania.

Dominik Mysterio finally forced his father’s hand after insulting his wife.

This comes after weeks of countless antagonism from Dominik who had insulted and taunted his father on SmackDown, while challenging him for a father vs. son match at WrestleMania 39. 

Rey Mysterio, who will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2023 on the night before WrestleMania 39, had always refused to physically confront his son.

However, the iconic Luchador was finally forced to take action when Dominik Mysterio yelled in his mom's face on the latest episode of the Friday Night SmackDown show.

Elsewhere, on Friday night SmackDown was the ongoing rivalry between Sami Zayn and The Bloodline ahead of Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE universal championship at WrestleMania 39.

Here’s all that happened this week on WWE SmackDown.

Rhodes and Kaiser kicked off WWE SmackDown this week.

Rhodes was in control for the majority of the match as Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa were also present at ringside during the match to distract the number one contender for the WWE Undisputed Universal title.

Eventually, the American nightmare would seal the win after hitting a Cross Rhodes following two prior attempts. 

Following the match, Heyman confronted Rhodes on the microphone, revealing that Rhodes would face Sikoa one-on-one on Monday Night Raw. 

Heyman also announced that Reigns would meet Rhodes face-to-face next week on SmackDown.

Rhodes then warned Sikoa and Roman Reigns that they are not ready for what he is going to bring to Raw and WrestleMania.

Rey Mysterio has finally accepted to fight his son Dominik at WrestleMania 39 in what has been a dramatic family feud.

Rey Mysterio has ignored his son’s taunting and torment over the last couple of weeks, maintaining his ground that he will not fight his flesh and blood,

However, Dominik was treated to a taste of Rey’s wrath after he insulted his mother in her face, telling her to “shut up!” at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

After a distraction by Dominik Mysterio, Knight was able to hand the legendary luchador a roll up.

Rey Mysterio was in control for the majority of the match but eventually ended up getting pinned down after Dominik tripped him up by the ropes.
