‘Something must be done to change things’ - The football world reacts to racist abuse aimed at Mike Maignan and Kasey Palmer

Mike Maignan was a victim of racial abuse from the Udinese fans which led to the game being suspended for 10 minutes.

Coventry midfielder Kasey Palmer was also a victim of racist abuse during the match with Sheffield Wednesday.

The incident has led to many declaring their support for Mike Maignan and Kasey Palmer and calling for a change.

The football world has come out to support both players after they were racially abused during their game this weekend.

According to reports from Sky Sports on X, "Something must be done to change things.

Fellow French player Kylian Mbappe also posted, “You are far from being alone Mike Maignan. We are all with you.

Still the same problem and no solution, enough is enough. NO TO RACISM.”

Arsenal legend Ian Wright also tweeted saying, “Solidarity for the rest of the team. Keep walking off!!! 

“We did playing through it and nothing has been done. Points deduction needed, the fines are pointless.

Support for both players keep coming in as further actions are expected to take place regarding the incident.
