The Super Eagles ended Cameroon's chances of holding onto the trophy they won in Gabon in 2017 with their greatest performance of the tournament.
Nigeria took the lead thanks to a deflected shot from Ighalo, then Bahoken equalized with a sidefooted shot following a cross from Christian Bassogog.
Njie's calm finish gave Cameroon the lead in a thrilling draw.
Player of the game Ahmed Musa's chest down was followed by a volley from Ighalo to make it 2-2.
Then, just before Alex Iwobi scored a thrilling, game-winning goal, Ighalo switched to be the provider.
The Super Eagles went on to finish in third place at the 2019 AFCON.
