Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi and teammates BANNED from Snapchat sessions in Fulham dressing room
Fulham and Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has announced that the Premier League club has officially banned behind‑the‑scenes (“BTS”) dressing‑room snaps.
What Happened?
The 28‑year‑old revealed this on Wednesday July 23 in a candid video uploaded on his official Snapchat.
‘For those that are wondering why I've been snapping BTS in the changing room, there's one person in the media team that's been saying I haven't been capturing the right stuff. So there's no more BTS,’ Iwobi said.
‘They also said I might get fined if I continue to do so.
‘They're trying to ban snap in our changing room.
‘It's a shame, man. I know you guys enjoy seeing what my teammates are like behind the scenes, but I have to respect the rules,’ he concluded.
Iwobi’s announcement comes ahead of Fulham’s pre‑season fixture against Nottingham Forest on 26 July in Faro, part of their training camp in Portugal.
With the squad preparing under manager Marco Silva, the ban signals a tighter approach to media control amid rising social media interest.
Fulham tighten ropes on Snapchat culture in dressing room
The ban follows recent viral content featuring Iwobi and teammates sharing candid moments online.
Earlier this year, Fulham’s dressing room became the setting for playful wrestling matches between Calvin Bassey and Adama Traoré, with Iwobi refereeing the antics — all captured on social media.
Moreover, after their 2–1 win against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, footage showed Iwobi, Bassey, and Issa Diop celebrating wildly in what was dubbed the “Snapchat derby”, a viral moment that showcased unfiltered locker‑room energy.
While these snapshots delighted fans and boosted Fulham’s friendly and social image — the club appears keen to draw a line between engaging content and professional privacy.
