Super Eagles star provides important update on his future after successful loan
Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka recently provided an update on his future, as his loan move to Augsburg has come to an end.
The 27-year-old joined the Bundesliga side last summer in search of more sustained game time after he started only 11 games the season prior.
The loan move to Augsburg served its purpose, as the former Midtjylland man was an important feature in the team, starting 30 games. However, the Fuggerstadt did not sign him permanently.
What Onyeka said
Looking towards the future, the midfielder said that he was looking forward to returning to the Gtech Community Stadium and hoped to convince the new manager that he deserved to be an important player.
Thomas Frank, who did not fancy Onyeka much, has been confirmed as the new Tottenham manager; hence, the Bees will expectedly have a different person in the dugout, and Onyeka sees that as a fresh opportunity to prove himself.
“The aim right now is to go back to Brentford,” he told Soccernet. “I don't know who the new coach is. So I have to speak to him to know what is going on. And then, we can take it from there.”
