Super Falcons: Oshoala and Ajibade unveil new WAFCON Trophy
Two of Africa’s most celebrated female footballers, Asisat Oshoala and Rasheedat Ajibade unveiled the new Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) trophy.
The event, held against the iconic backdrop of the Hassan Tower in Rabat, Morocco ahead of the start of the tournament.

The unveiling ceremony featured a vibrant gathering of players from various national teams.
The players were dressed in their colorful kits around a striking purple podium that held the gleaming new trophy.
Oshoala who has a storied legacy in African women’s football and a five-time WAFCON participant wore the teams home jersey.
The Bay FC fprward made her debut at the 2014 WAFCON, where she scored four goals and earned the Golden Ball,
Ajibade who is now captain of the team led the Super Falcons to a 3-1 win against Ghana in their final friendly game.
She was spotted in the away kit as they posed for pictures with the trophy.
The Super Falcons are in a tough group and start their WAFCON campaign against Tunisia.
