Super Falcons star Toni Payne drops masterclass as Everton thrash Leicester

Super Falcons star Toni Payne delivered a masterclass performance as her team, Everton, cruised to a convincing victory over Leicester City.

Everton secured a convincing 4-1 win over Leicester, thanks in large part to a stunning performance from Payne.

The 29-year-old midfielder played a pivotal role in the match, providing two assists and guiding her team to a victory.

The match got off to a flying start, with Kelly Gago scoring for Everton in the fifth minute.

However, Leicester's Shannon O'Brien equalised just ten minutes later, sending the teams into the break level at 1-1.

The second half belonged to Payne, who set up Katja Snoeijs for the go-ahead goal just four minutes after the restart.

Hanoka Hayashi then extended Everton's lead in the 57th minute, before Gago sealed the win with her second goal of the match, courtesy of another brilliant assist from Payne.

Payne's impressive stats for the match included two assists, 29 touches, and two big chances created.

She also completed 15 of her 22 passes with 68% accuracy and won one of her two ground battles.

The victory lifts Everton to eighth place on the table with 13 points from 13 games.
