'The comeback is possible' — Mbappe hopes to replicate 2019 Liverpool after Arsenal disgrace

Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe is refusing to give up after Los Blancos lost 3-0 to Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League first-leg on Tuesday night.

Declan Rice scored two stunning free-kicks and Mikel Merino added a third to seal the deal.

The visitors looked shell-shocked as the goals rained in, especially after a first half where the likes of Mbappe and Vinicius Junior had chances to score.

Carlo Ancelotti's men will need to overturn a 3-goal deficit to force extra time. It will not be the first time this has happened in the competition's history, as Liverpool lost 3-0 to Barcelona in the semi-final first leg back in 2019.

However, a 4-0 win at Anfield sent them through. Mbappe is staying confident ahead of the second leg in Spain.

“The comeback is possible, of course.

“We have to believe until the end,” Mbappe said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
