‘The league is finished’ - Super Eagles star Ola Aina react to Salah signing a new contract

The club and the 33-year-old player have been in contract negotiations for over a year without any progress.

Talks from both parties stalled, with the player announcing that this would be his final season with the team.

However, Liverpool announced that the Egyptian has been given a new two-year deal that will end in 2027.

Ola Aina, Super Eagles star, has reacted on social media to the news of Salah's contract extension.

The Nottingham Forest defender said, as reported by Anfield Sector on X, “Mohammed Salah, he signed again. The league is finished. Hey, he decided.”

The Nigerian international immediately admitted that the league has ended upon hearing the news of Salah’s contract.

This season, Salah has been instrumental for Liverpool in their chase for the Premier League title.

The winger has scored 27 goals and 17 assists in 31 appearances in the Premier League this season.
