‘This ends now’ — PSG’s Al Khelaifi reportedly threatens Juventus after summer disappointment
Tensions between Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus have reportedly boiled over after failed negotiations for Randal Kolo Muani’s permanent move back to Turin.
According to Sports Zone, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was left fuming when the Italian giants pulled out of talks late in the transfer window, opting instead to sign Lois Openda from RB Leipzig.
Al-Khelaifi’s fury after collapsed talks
Kolo Muani had enjoyed a successful loan spell in Turin, scoring 10 goals in 22 appearances across competitions during the 2024-25 season.
With Juventus prioritising his return, weeks of discussions followed between the two clubs. However, disagreements over the transfer package and final fee saw negotiations break down, leaving PSG frustrated by what they viewed as time-wasting tactics.
Reports claim that Al-Khelaifi snapped at Juventus officials, allegedly declaring: “You’ve been messing with us for several weeks; this ends now. You won’t get your day with me. I’ll remember your methods; you can count on that.”
His reported outburst underlined just how sour relations between the two clubs have become in recent months.
Tottenham swoop in as PSG left frustrated
With Juventus walking away from the deal, Kolo Muani’s agent was urged by PSG to find a solution before deadline day.
The French forward eventually joined Tottenham Hotspur, leaving Juventus with Openda as their new striking option.
French outlets, including L’Equipe confirmed PSG’s displeasure, noting that the club felt disrespected by Juventus’ handling of the situation.
For Kolo Muani, who had given priority to a Juventus return, the saga marked a bitter twist in his career path. For Al-Khelaifi, the episode appears to have left a lasting scar, with his fiery warning suggesting that future dealings between PSG and Juventus could be fraught with tension.
